Since the mid-1990’s, UIT has successfully developed, implemented, operated and optimized hydrometallurgical technology in different projects worldwide. We are experienced in solving hydrometallurgical, geochemical and process engineering challenges. Our experts have designed, and successfully applied entire hydrometallurgical processing chains including technologies like flotation, leaching, IX/RIP, SX, full-scale down-streamprocessing including separation/refining for concentional ore processing operations as well as in-situ recovery (ISR).

We are familiar with state-of-the-art technologies for hydrometallurgical element separation from leaching solutions through down-stream-processing towards a commercial end product. UIT provides expert know-how on the relevant technologies and licensing steps required for separation of naturally occurring material (NORM) and processing of radioactive elements such as uranium (U), thorium (Th), and their decay products – either as commercial ore concentrate or as waste material.
